Google Now, Google’s predictive search tool, is continuing to grow. The company has announced that 70 additional apps have been added, including those from Zipcar, Spotify, ABC News and restaurant bill payment through OpenTable.
Bing is now testing showing recipe answers including the recipe overview, ingredients, steps and related recipes directly in the search results snippets.
Google announced they are not just enabling a Google Lite for slow mobile connections on their search results page, but they are also testing optimizing your web pages after the searcher clicks from the mobile search results to your web site.
Google said the mobile-friendly algorithm is fully rolled out, but there are still some mobile friendly pages that do not see the score since indexing still takes time.
Google is further expanding Voice Actions to third party apps to allow users to reach into apps on Android devices, beyond simply launching them. That’s according to a post this week directed to Android developers.
No surprise, Bing Ads is now testing the waters with the Shopping Campaigns. The team announced that the beta round of Shopping Campaigns á la Google AdWords is rolling out now.
